In summer, the temperature is high and the tractor works in a high temperature environment. Special attention should be paid to the following issues
1. Be careful with "opening the pot"
When the cooling water "boils", it should be handled carefully. The correct treatment method is: run the engine at medium speed, open the radiator cover, release the hot air, and slowly add cold water after cooling down. When opening the radiator cover, lift the The author should stand in the upper wind position and keep his face away from the water inlet to avoid being scalded by the high-temperature water vapor.
2. Keep the cooling system clean
Before the arrival of summer, the cooling system should be thoroughly descaled and cleaned to make the water pump and radiator water pipes unblocked to ensure the normal circulation of cooling water. In addition, weeds and other objects adhering to the surface of the radiator should be removed in time.
3. Prevent water leakage
Water leakage in the cooling system mostly occurs outside the water pump shaft sleeve. At this time, properly tighten the water seal compression nut. If it is invalid, it indicates that the packing has failed and should be replaced in time. The filler can be made of asbestos rope coated with graphite powder.
4. Pay attention to the tension of the belt
If the fan belt is too loose, it is easy to slip, which will reduce the speed of the fan and the water pump, and the wind will be insufficient; if the fan belt is too tight, the bearing load will be too large, which will aggravate the wear and increase the power consumption. The general requirement is: when the thumb is pressed in the middle of the belt, the belt sag is in the range of 10mm-15mm. If it is too loose or too tight, it should be adjusted in time.
5. Correct use of thermostat
There are two types of temperature adjustment devices: automatic (such as thermostat) and manual (such as thermal insulation curtains and blinds). Some drivers think that it is hot in summer and the lower the water temperature, the better, and often remove the thermostat. Doing so will greatly prolong the warm-up time of the engine and accelerate the wear of parts during a cold start. Therefore, the thermostat should not be removed in summer. Insulation curtains and shutters are used to regulate the amount of air passing through the radiator. In summer, insulation curtains are generally not needed, and shutters should be placed in the fully open position.
